Build a baseball-cap sample brief
Use this specification guide after choosing a style. Record the decisions that the physical sample needs to demonstrate before you approve production.
- Crown and fit
- Specify a structured or unstructured crown, panel layout, intended fit and closure. Compare front and side references so a similar graphic is not mistaken for the same cap shape.
- Curved visor
- Record the visor profile, dimensions, top and underside colors, and any underside artwork. Check the physical curve and its relationship to the crown on the sample.
- Decoration placement
- Provide artwork dimensions and its distance from seams and the visor. Ask for a sample review when fine lettering, raised embroidery or a patch crosses a panel seam.
- Approval record
- Keep the selected fabric and color references, front and back decoration, inner labels and packaging in one specification. Record revisions against the same sample version.
A styling image does not confirm fit, color or stitch quality. Approve the physical sample and the project-specific measurements and tolerances before bulk production.
